Seeing this great Piroro illo at this [link] as well as the question he posed prompted a few thoughts.

Mara has told me multiple times that she does, indeed, enjoy being tied up. She's fantasized about being tied and helpless ever since she was young and she continues to enjoy it when we bring it into our playtime.

Still, sometimes I have a hard time with it. I was with a woman for over twenty years who didn't particularly care for being tied up. She agreed to it because she loved me and wanted to make me happy. But her heart was never in it.

So there's a part of me that still has that conditioning, that there's no way that Mara can really be enjoying it, in spite of all evidence being to the contrary. Because she loves me too, and she's only too happy to do what I want.

However, in her case it boils down to the *way* I tie her up. I tend to enjoy tying her in the fashion you see in my photos and vids of her, similarly to how Piroro has tied up his Lea in his gorgeous illo. She, OTOH, would maybe prefer to be tied down to the bed every now and again.

Regardless, her heart's in it, and I'm convinced that she gets every bit as much pleasure from being tied up as I get from tying her up.

Sometimes the good things in life *do* come to those who wait!
